Just for Families
DeCordova is proud to offer educational programming designed for families seeking to introduce their children to museum going and the art of seeing.
The Museum Visit Begins at Home
This Web site provides tips on preparing your children in advance for their visit to DeCordova, as well as suggested activities to keep them engaged in the exhibitions. To make the most of your visit, be sure to stop in at our interactive gallery, The Dr. Kenneth Germeshausen Art ExperienCenter.
Eye Wonder Family Programs at DeCordova
Come with friends and family to DeCordova and discover an ever-changing world of art! The newly renamed Eye Wonder focuses on “seeing” and “doing” in art museums and combines careful looking with creative art projects centered around the changing exhibitions. Each month, Eye Wonder has a different focus that celebrates the uniqueness of contemporary artists and their processes with family-friendly guided tours and hands-on art activities. This drop-in program is perfect for families with children ages 6 and up.
All Eye Wonder programs free with Campus admission and families are welcome to drop-in anytime between 1 - 3 pm. Inquiries about upcoming Eye Wonder Family Programs should be sent to Lynn Thomson. Please include your name and email address.
