Jewelry Event at The Store @ DeCordova
Ornamental Art V

The Store @ DeCordova

April 25 - May 9, 2004

Reception: Sunday, April 25 from 2 - 4 pm

LINCOLN, MA-In its continuing effort to promote the very best work being created by the Northeast's premier artists and designers, The Store @ DeCordova announces Ornamental Art V, its fifth exhibition to celebrate the work of four jewelry artists new to The Store's collection. Join us for an opening reception on Sunday, April 25 from 2 - 4 pm to meet the artists-and a chance to ornament yourself in a new way. The exhibition and sale continue through May 9.

The intensely organic shapes of hand-wrought jewelry and wearable sculptures by Rhode Island's Sarahanne Coggeshall suggest flora and fauna from another world. Each piece seems "grown" directly from the artist's very fertile imagination.

New York's Karen Gilbert uses oxidized metal and industrial materials to create jewelry that is the very emblem of high-tech sophistication-sleek materials used in graceful and flattering designs that are playful and powerful.

Exquisite faceted gems, 18k gold, and creamy pearls make Ann Krupp's necklaces and earrings the future heirlooms your descendants will fight over. A celebrated New York-based artist and designer for decades, Ann creates jewelry that is quite simply timeless.

Elegance and simplicity are the watchwords in all of Sun Hwe Park's jewelry, meticulously crafted in Rhode Island. Highly controlled and perfectly balanced necklaces, pins, and earrings in gold and silver make the perfect accent for the modern tailored wardrobe.
