Talking will make it better! Most visitors appreciate the breadth of experience Museum Guides bring to exhibition and sculpture installation tours. Whether you want names, dates and places, or some gentle guidance to better understand what you're seeing, DeCordova Museum Guides can help. All tours begin in the Museum Lobby and are free with Campus admission.
School, youth, and community groups may schedule guided or self-guided tours of Museum exhibitions and the Sculpture Park. Four weeks' advance notice is required for scheduling guided tours. Guided tours can be arranged for groups of 8 – 80 persons and last for 45 minutes in length. One tour of either the Museum or the Sculpture Park is free with the cost of Campus admission ($12 per adult, $8 for children, students and seniors).
Museum Tours are available Tuesday – Friday, 10 am – 3 pm, for grades 1 – adult. Weekend tours by special request. A maximum of 40 students at a time is allowed in the Museum, and one chaperone per 10 students is required. This policy will be enforced by the Museum staff.
Park tours take place from April through November, and are available Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 3 pm, for grades 1 – adult. Weekend tours by special request. A maximum of 80 students at a time is allowed, and one chaperone per 10 students is required.

Use your personal cell phone to access a world of information, and hear directly from artists, curators, installers, scholars, and other experts in the field of art. This program is free for visitors, and can help to enhance your museum experience.

Out of the Box: Photography Portfolios from the Permanent Collection
In Out of the Box: Photography Portfolios from the Permanent Collection, Leslie K. Brown, former curator of Boston University's Photographic Resource Center and collector, donor, and Palm Press owner Gus Kayafas converse about portfolios, why they're produced, the appeal of collecting them, and how these particular portfolios were curated into this exciting exhibition. Available October 24, 2009 – October 2010.
Sculpture Park
Bring your cell phone to DeCordova's Sculpture Park this summer and listen to artists, curators, scholars, and content specialists discuss the sculptures on view. Over the course of the summer, ten new sculptures will be added to the line-up, complete with family-friendly content geared toward children ages 5 — 9. Look for the audio tour symbol
scattered throughout the Park to get started.
