Conveying Place in Spring: A Photo Workshop (CANCELLED)

This event last occurred on May 12, 2018, 10 am—12 pm.

The landscape awakens, and liveliness and color return. Time to retune the eye, sensibilities, and our cameras to the delicate tones and patterns of spring.  As photographers of place, we’ll open to the nuances of this season and explore its relationship with the deCordova’s rolling terrain and sculptures.

The workshop will be facilitated by photographer and naturalist Cherrie Corey, who lived in the heart of Thoreau country for the last forty years and has chronicled the beauty, moods, and rhythms of its landscapes in thousands of photographic images. This workshop will build on delightfully successful workshops held this past winter and summer which opened participants to revelations of perception, challenges of the season, and a renewed sense of wonder and adventure with their cameras.

No photography experience necessary. Participants use their own photographic equipment of any type (smart phones, film or digital cameras are all okay).
