SCREENshots: iPhone Photography & Creative Apps Workshop

This event last occurred on November 4, 2017, 9 am—5 pm.

In this intensive workshop, photographer John Clarke introduces some advanced creative possibilities of iPhone photography. To create unique, art-quality compositions, participants will learn about capturing the highest quality images on their iPhones, manipulating them through various apps, and preparing them for print or presentation. Each student will explore firsthand a variety of cameras (the internal iPhone camera isn't the only option!) and apps as they refine their vision and aesthetic. This workshop will be hands-on, allowing plenty of time to capture images around deCordova’s nature-filled landscape, then refine and manipulate them with Photo Toaster, Mextures, and Hipstamatic photography apps under Clarke’s guidance.

Open to photographers at all levels. No advanced iPhone photo experience necessary.

NOTE: Only the iPhone cameras and creative applications will be covered in this workshop. Apps on Androids or other non-Apple smartphones do not have the same capability and will not be covered during this session. All participants must have at least an iPhone 4, and should download both PhotoToaster and Mextures before the start of the workshop.
