Why did deCordova change its membership levels?

After seven years of its previous membership levels, deCordova restructured its current benefits and levels to better accommodate members’ interests and desired premiums. These new levels allow members greater access to deCordova and are comparable to peer institutions.

Why are membership levels listed as price ranges instead of fixed rates?

Gifts between the listed membership ranges include all associated benefits. DeCordova relies on the philanthropic support of our members to maintain the quality of its exhibitions, educational programming, as well as overall operational costs. DeCordova encourages members to show their support by making an additional gift above and beyond the baseline membership price.

What is the difference between a Dual Membership and a Family Membership?

Dual membership admits two adults to deCordova. Dual members qualify for the membership rate for all adult classes at the School plus all other basic membership benefits.

Family membership admits two adults and all accompanying guests ages 17 and under. Family members qualify for the membership rate for all child and adult classes at the school. Family members also receive special notices and invitations to family programming.

Why does deCordova no longer offer a Teacher Membership?

Beginning July 1, 2011 deCordova will no longer offer teacher membership discounts. Over the years the popularity of teacher memberships has waned substantially. In order to streamline deCordova's membership offerings and increase the quality of benefits associated with membership, the teacher membership discount will no longer be offered.

Why does deCordova not offer senior membership discounts?

A large percentage of our deCordova membership base is seniors. The longtime membership support from seniors provides vital funding for deCordova’s curatorial, educational, and operational needs. DeCordova makes every effort to ensure membership is accessible and affordable to everyone, but at this time cannot offer senior discounts.

I am a Lincoln Resident—why should I become a deCordova member?
