About The Trustees and Partnership

This year’s Party for the Park will celebrate deCordova’s integration into The Trustees, an organization dedicated to protecting and sharing exceptional places across the Commonwealth. The two organization are aligned in their dedication to art, education, and landscape and believe the affiliation will reinforce their public offerings and achieve increased audience engagement for both organizations.

Founded by esteemed landscape architect Charles Eliot, Trustees has, for more than 125 years, been a catalyst for important ideas, creative endeavors, and imaginative progress in Massachusetts. As a steward of distinctive and visually dynamic places which embody both historic legacy and cultural gravitas, Trustees is the nation’s first preservation and conservation nonprofit and its landscapes and landmarks have served as the platform for gatherings of great minds, the stage for moments of artistic epiphany, and often the impetus for creativity, originality, and innovation. Today, Trustees' sites are destinations for residents and visitors alike, welcoming more than 2 million people annually.
